What do you know about Global Environmental Crisis and what does it mean to you? Where do you see the world heading and what can be done to save the environment? What is your role as an environmentalist in fixing the global environmental crisis or at least reduce its impacts?
In no more than 150 words, and as an environmentalist or an environmental advocate, provide your views on the above questions and highlight what it takes to reverse the Global Environmental Crises and have a sustainable future for the coming generations.
Global Environmental Crisis 
My understanding of the global environmental crisis is that many of our major ecological systems are collapsing. We are experiencing many severe weather events that I believe will continue to increase in number and severity. Cities are becoming more populated, leading to more pollution, crime, poverty, and overcrowding.
I think that the only thing we can do about this is to prevent a major ecosystem collapse but practicing and advancing our sustainable techniques. Sustainability must be achieved with social justice in mind, where all groups of people including minorities see equal costs and benefits of sustainable practices. Since pollution, over population, and extreme weather events cross country borders making them international/global issues, nations must come together to face these challenges and prevent as much irreversible environmental damage as possible.
For the present and the future, I see myself as an advocate for sustainability. Sustainability is very broad, but I would enjoy going into energy law, and any law practices that defend human rights/use of natural resources. For now, my role is to be advocate for the earth, by leading a sustainable lifestyle and setting an example for others to follow.

Everyone plays a role in the global environmental crisis. From just littering out your car window to the massive funding cuts that the Trump administration has administered to departments like the EPA, everyone plays a role. No matter how big or small we are, we all play a large part in the environment around us. We have to make a number of small and large changes in order to make any type of impact of the environment. Locally, we need to take the initiative to be greener. If this means recycling more, or donating old items instead of throwing them away, or giving people tax breaks for using solar panels or electric cars. On a national level, we need to be making sustainable policies so that we can protect and preserve what we have left. These changes include things like stopping the DAP and prevent thousands of gallons of oil from spilling into native lands. On an international level, we need to be making and committing to policies that can help stop pollution and clean up the messes we have made. We need to make sure we are all holding each other accountable for the GEC and make changes. Our role in all of this is to help facilitate these changes by being a positive impact, and allowing others to learn from us. This can include using fewer plastics, to marching on the Capital to make these changes. We have all played a role in creating this crisis, and we can all play a role in ending it.

The current state of the environment is not in good condition in the world and the current USA administration isn’t helping the issue. The president of the United States of America believes that climate change isn’t real which he publicities in his speeches and rallies. The problem with the environment isn’t directly linked to this one president, but instead to leaders that have different goals on their agenda, where profits are more important than environmental issue. I believe that my role with the environment and environmental issues is to educate the common people or the people that don’t study environmental issues and policies. I believe that the environment can be made better through politics, education, and the stressing of facts done through excessive research in the environmental spectrum. I also think publicizing the way the environment is affecting human health would push more leaders to take action in fixing environmental problems, to appease the anthropocentric way humans act, and push humans to change the way they behave towards a more sustainable future.

The global environmental crisis is the large-scale destruction of the livable environment and the living world. It is the result of capitalist exploitation of both people and planet, and the worldwide system of white supremacy that was catalyzed by and institutionalized during the industrial revolution. It is well-established, deeply violent, and ever-hungry; millions die every year but the problem continues to grow and evolve, and the imbalance of power that is its key mechanism drastically deepens.
Power snowballs. Our oppressors exercise the influence that they hold to gain further influence, and thus their power increases exponentially. This is the nature of our challenge: to circumvent this process and win back the power that has been stolen from us. This requires aggressive direct action, strategic political engagement, and the ceding of power by the privileged to the marginalized at every level of society. This reclamation of power is vital to leveling the hierarchical sociopolitical and capital systems that are founded upon and result in environmental oppression and exploitation.
Practically speaking, this will involve a radical reshaping of society. At its core, it will mean deindustrialization, because oppression, exploitation, and inequity are inherent to the industrial system, particularly the energy industry on which literally all of industrialism stands. My personal role in this struggle is to devote my life, in its entirety, to the promise of anti-capitalist revolution, and to the survival and resilience of marginalized communities as the global environmental crisis worsens, and as we come under attack during the resultant social upheaval. To that end, I will be an organizer, strategist, storyteller, artist, orator, and influencer. I will do the work that I am called upon to do, whatever form it may take.

There is demand for the creation of new policies that will aim in the protection of the environment. I believe that the people are becoming more awaken and are paying more attention than ever to the global environmental crisis. This new awakening can be of great opportunity for change in current policies than can give better protection for the environment.
The Crisis can be seen in how rapidly climate change is affecting our average temperatures and creating massive heat waves that are affecting peoples lives and causing even death to the most vulnerable population.
The environmental crisis should be address with strong policies that will help in the reduction of GHGS helping to reduce temperatures. My role as environmentalist is to push this agenda to create a better and cleaner environment and the conservation of ecosystems that can help perserve our beautiful earth.

As I understand, the world of which we reside in is in a rapid decline regarding the health and safety of this planet and humanity itself. As a collective whole, human beings have shaped the world through our various processes and exploits to a point which action must be taken. Many various factors play into the overall global crisis that we experience from wars in certain locations to specific negative environmental practices of a region. Every human action taken directly impacts the overall environmental health of our world, therefore it is our responsibility as those who have caused this adversity to create laws and sanctions which prevent humanity from negatively impacting the economics of environmental stability. My role as an environmentalist is to learn the economical processes which cause environmental crisis and to use this knowledge to strategize what action should be taken to safeguard the environment.

My understanding of the current global environmental crisis deals with a combination of several issues, which on their own are bad enough, but combined make for a truly global crisis. Everything from climate change, population growth, income inequality, natural resource depletion, loss of biodiversity, pollution, waste, and political unrest are effects that we are dealing with now, and left unaddressed will only magnify in intensity. We should be working together with the rest of the world to solve these issues instead of closing ourselves off with nationalism and rhetoric that only exacerbate these issues. As an environmentalist I hope to help educate others on the problems we are facing, dispel any doubt about the science of climate change, and show that there are currently solutions to take that will not only benefit the health of us and our environment, but also benefit our economy and our global prestige as the world leader. We just all have to be working towards the same goal.

The current global environmental crisis is for me the ultimate consequence of the growing human abuse of the Earth’s natural resources. The symptoms of this GEC make it a really controversial international crisis, since its recognition and the activism to act on it are very dependent on the ideologies that are being formed and adopted by several diverse social groups around the globe. Despite those neglecting even its existence and also its danger, I understand it as a quite urgent global issue which requires an immediate search of solutions. Policies need to be designed, executed and eventually implemented everywhere instead of being just vague propaganda from governments to maintain their social support without actually making a change. Corporations ought to be legally bound to comply with the requirements for developing a sustainable business. In fact, I want to explore myself the economic motives behind national governments, international organization and corporations, that today strongly push for further damage to the environment and for immunity in this regard, in order to be able to work on the design of laws to control and restrict the profit coming from the exploitation of the Earth. I am specifically interested in corporations’ behavior towards the environment and in the legal holes they use to avoid an effective commitment to sustainability.

The Earth is experiencing massive, insurmountable changes to its topography and climate. The greenhouse gases that are being trapped in Earth’s atmosphere and therefore radiating even stronger heat back to the Earth’s surface are producing numerous adverse effects. These are briefly: the warming of the climate, ocean acidification, higher ocean salinity, desertification, loss of ice sheets, floods, greater extreme weather events, and natural disasters. These physical effects of climate change have the potential to catastrophically affect millions across the globe in terms of national security, poverty, development, loss of arable land and drinking water, mass migration due to rising sea levels known as ‘climate refugees’, and greater conflict over scarce resources. As an international relations major, I am deeply interested in global environmental policy and international law and with these specific areas of interest I’d like to aid in creating and implementing international law that can seek solutions to this crisis to help those who, in states like Kiribati and Tuvalu, for example, may soon lose their homeland due to rising sea levels. These climate refugees may soon be stateless persons which is unseen in international law and will cause massive migration that may cause more conflict than ever seen before.

Anthropogenic climate change threatens communities and ecosystems globally and presents an economic and racial justice challenge, as well as an environmental one. The communities and nations in immediate danger from the changes in weather or economic patterns created by climate change are overwhelmingly poor and non-white, while climate change is overwhelmingly driven by consumption in wealthier, western nations. As a middle-class citizen of an extremely high consumption nation, I am complicit in this devastation.
I take action through individual choices, small things like rarely eating meat, buying used items, and regularly riding transit or walking. I also act through my work in housing, where I manage whole building utility use, and advocate for higher density, transit-centered housing. However, mitigating the impact of climate change will take more than individual activism, it requires concerted regulatory action by world governments, and major shifts in culture, infrastructure, and urban design, in high consumption nations.

Today, the world can be grouped in to two, which are developing countries and developed countries. I understand that geographic economic crisis happens most in developing countries. I think the problem of geographic economic crisis relates to the reason why some countries remain developing. One of the reasons developing countries are struggling to solve the issue is the limitation of natural resources. Thinking of growing economy in the country, it will be hard to increase enough amounts of crops to export, if farming is fundamental work in a country. This is obvious when comparing to other countries that has factory for mass production. Developing countries may improve their economy by building factories, however, this can change the lifestyle of local people. Moreover, there are current issues that local people in developing country says that the donation is not used for what they really need. It is used for what foreigner thinks local people need to live. From this aspect, it can tell that the demand and supply is mismatching.
Things we can do is to examine what kind of sustainable techniques are adequate to the country and research what is really needed for local people.
Since I am thinking my future career is to be a tour planner, my roles is to know the reality by building a firm relationship with local people and create an opportunity for foreigners to understand through the tour I planed.

As the name states, Global Environmental Crisis, it is a Global Crisis. It is extremely important to not only understand it but also to recognise it and do something about it since it is in our best interest to do so. Personally, when I think about Climate Change, Sea Level Rise, Deforestation, and Water Crisis I think about what the stand-up comedian George Carlin once said: “if you do not care about the world we live in, that it could be destroyed by our own actions, think and care about yourself. If we continue with this course of actions, we won’t have enough resources and basic commodities and therefore we won’t have a home anymore”. My understanding of Global Environmental Crisis is connected to al the changes and problems in the natural environment due to our inattentive and deleterious actions. This planet provides us water, air and soil that allows us to live and survive. Without it we cannot live. We should understand that we have a problem with scarcity of resources and that his problem could and would bring to a war on natural and basic resources. Nowadays people are worried with a war on trade but I believe that a war on natural resources due to scarcity is more imminent. For example, how can we advocate on human rights without connecting it to the deleterious actions that are putting in danger our home. Furthermore, there is a lot that can be done to prevent waste and to collaborate on the interest of everybody. One role that we, as environmentalists (and I think that everyone should be an environmentalist for starters) is to advocate for a less waste in certain countries: by sharing more the resources certain countries have in abundance giving to other countries who have in scarcity.

From my understanding, the Global Environmental Crisis is the degradation of the environment on a global scale which is caused by anthropogenic activities such as extraction of resources, production of material goods, and transportation of those goods or resources. While developing countries are polluting their own land and water systems, it is largely in part due to meeting the demands of developed countries and corporations which have moved their extraction and production processes to those countries. As our access to people and resources around the world increase, we observe and experience environmental issues such as climate change intensify.
In order to address the global environmental crisis, we need to focus on the root causes of the problems by transforming the way in which we live. For example, in the United States, many consumers consume in excess. Often times we see consumers responding to the environmental problems with an individualistic approach by consuming green products, however, I believe we need to adopt a lifestyle of husbandry and thrift. In addition to consuming responsibly, we need to localize the production of goods, renewable energy, and food in order to reduce our impact towards the environment on a global scale. I think when local communities take responsibility and ownership of meeting their own needs and designing their own communities they have a greater capacity to adopt sustainable practices. By developed countries, like the United States, creating alternative solutions to the global environmental crisis through communities promoting sustainability this can positively impact the environmental condition in other countries. Also, I believe developed countries need to support the sustainable development of those developing countries. As an environmentalist, I plan to educate others about alternative solutions in responding to the global environmental crisis.

The current global environmental crisis is a rather broad subject that involves such topics as politics, sustainability, social justice, economy, and health. Many environmentalist strive to push their ideal agendas into everyday lives that will protect the natural environment, as will as improve the quality of living for all to insure a brighter future for all those to come. The first and perhaps most important action is to educate all, especially the youth about our current situation of our planet. Next is to create a plan of action of how we could improve earth’s condition. This could involve anything from improvements of simple everyday tasks, to informing politicians new acts or regulation to improve the quality environment. The final step is to carry out these ideas and enforce them into our everyday lives, and convince or remind others to do so as well. And this processes must repeated for all issues that concern the environment, for we could continuously find ways to improve the environment across the globe.

My understanding of the Global Environmental Crisis is the current degradation of our ecosystem at a large scale and a pace especially after the Industrial Revolution. One of the primary cause of this crisis is the utilitarian attitude of humans towards the environment symbolized by capitalism. Manifestations of the crisis include but are not limited to extreme temperature changes, rise of sea levels, severe drought, frequency of natural disaster and the enlargement of the ozone hole.
This crisis means that the world population is in danger and more vulnerable than ever. However, the Global South which have been and remain exploited by the Global North is more vulnerable as it does not have the necessary mechanism to prevent or at least reduce the impact of the crisis. For example, countries such as Senegal where fish constitutes the primary source of protein for a growing population (which is not another issue), is currently under pressure.
A solution to this current crisis will require a joint effort from advanced and less advanced countries, but also the non-state actors such as the MNC’s that have played a prominent role. There is a need to recognize the role capitalism has played in the degradation of the environment (resource extraction, pursuit of profit, commercial agriculture vs. subsistence) and come up with different system that will impact people way of living. Several movement such as Buen Vivir are example to lead the way in changing our utilitarian perception of the environment. Finally, I firmly believe that a deeper research in indigenous practices will show their role in balancing the ecosystem and will ultimately result in a reverse situation in which the Global South (as it has always done until being exploited) will lead the way in saving the environment through its multiple indigenous practices.

The Global Environmental Crisis is the sum of all social, economic, and ecological problems pertaining to the environment. Every environmental issue such as climate change and fossil fuel extraction has contributed to it.
The main reason that this crisis has not been resolved is the lack of communication and unity among world leaders. For example, it is impossible to address this crisis if there are people still denying the truth about climate change. Even the steps that have been taken to address these issues have faltered. Another example of the lack of communication is the United States’ planned withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.
The best way to address this crisis is to start small and focus on simple solutions such as being more sustainable with what you consume or purchase. As an environmentalist, working on solving these small problems can contribute to greater change.

As far as my level of familiarity with the global environmental crisis goes, my belief is that we are in this crisis due solely to human activity since the Industrial era. The demands of a globalized capitalist market have lead to complete disregard for the impact of our actions as they relate to our environment. We burn coal ceaselessly, destroy forests without a second thought and feel no remorse for dumping our waste into bodies of water.
While the most developed countries in the world are beginning to give thought to the effects of their actions upon the environment, we have a slew of under-developed countries that participate in the globalized economy that do not have clearly defined policy for keeping environmental effects in their purview; and many of them do not care to.
I believe my role in helping to fix the environmental crisis is to think of new and creative ways to bridge the gap between the demands of a consumerist/productionist globe and the needs of our deteriorating biosphere.

The Global Environmental Crisis is the current trend of human related activities that have negative effects on the environment. Industries that consume fossil fuels and produce pollution are causing environmental degradation and contributing to problems such as climate change. In my opinion, progress has been made with implementing more sustainable technologies with less environmental impact in states such as the United States and Europe, but heavy polluting industries have simply relocated to regions with less restrictive environmental policies. Furthermore, as developing states continue to grow, increased demand for resources will make the crisis worse.
I believe states should attempt to reduce negative impacts on the environment by working to bring environmental standards in developing states up to a higher level.
My goal as an environmentalist is to learn as much as possible about the environment, so I can make educated choices on environmental issues and seek to find common sense solutions.

As I know it, our collective society is on a path of imminent environmental degradation that will devastate the livelihood of future generations. This crisis is spurred from many factors such as human disregard and waste, capitalistic institutions allowing unsafe practices to continue and a lack of useful policies and/or a lack of enforcement of ones that already exist. It is an issue that is currently only making a noticeable impact on the most disadvantaged portion of our global population, so it goes largely ignored by mainstream media and those in power. However, it will most certainly expand its devastation to all if we continue on this path of recklessness. That is why it is in the hands of the hegemonic, the educated, the broadcasted members of society to continue researching and voicing truths so that we may capture the ear of a larger, powerful audience–or even better, be that powerful audience. The first step is monitoring how our own behavior affects the world and adjusting as needed. From there, we lobby for the ears and positions necessary to make a lasting influence in the way laws and standards are implemented and enforced. The United Nations–through Resolution 64/292–declared access to clean water an essential part to the realization of all human rights. It is the foundation of so many elements of survival including hygiene and nourishment. For me this means that a fight for environmental preservation is an endeavor which protects those in need as much as it does the earth.

After hearing about the seemingly extensive experiences in/around environmental studies that most of my classmates have, I would say I am clueless in comparison. However, as a political/social activist and someone who loves to be informed (I’m a news junkie!), I think I’ve tried to do my part in understanding the global environmental crisis as best I can, and take action where I’m capable. I understand the fundamentals of climate change, sea levels rising, overpopulation, greenhouse gasses, and renewable, sustainable technologies. For one, I think the first step is voting people into office who care and take environmental issues seriously. With that, I think legislation needs to be passed to keep corporations responsible and held accountable for their many hazardous (and conveniently profitable) contributions to harmful environmental practices. As someone who plans to work in social justice/the non-profit sector, there are beyond ample opportunities for me to incorporate the knowledge I take away from this class into my value system, activism, and to others I work with in the future. I look forward to expanding what I know about the global environmental crisis so that I may emerge in my life a more well-rounded, informed, and conscientious person.

My understanding of global environmental crisis is that there is no consensus on the fact that the earth’s limited resources. Many countries, particularly Global North countries, just consume without thought or consideration for either the environment or others. There are two reasons for this: people either do not (or in some cases, cannot) care about the impact of their choices or they are ignorant of the impact of their choices. Education is a key component of addressing this issue. Educating youth is the most important part of this. They are the ones who will be around when we’re gone and when the effects of climate change really start to hit hard. They need to be taught that their decisions have impacts on both their families and their planet. Educating adults is also important but from personal experience, it is often difficult to get people to change, whether that involves change to their lifestyles, eating habits, or even just their personal views. Older adults are often stuck in their ways and, unless something is beneficial to them, they have little interest in change. Truthfully, I don’t know what my role as an environmentalist is going to be. I know I chose the emphasis of environmental sustainability and social justice because I know social injustices contribute significantly to environmental problems.

My understanding of the global environmental crisis was created by several experiences in my life. I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, a low income community that suffers from environmental injustices, such as improper waste disposal,lack of healthy food markets, polluted air etc. Growing up in this community inspired me to look into environmental studies and possess passion and concern for the environment. As I grew older my concern grew larger. I had the opportunity to visit Guatemala and living there for two months made me upset and shocked to realize people do not have access to clean water. Having access to clean water is very problematic, it is a human right. I recently lived in Thailand for four months and residing in South East Asia exposed me to new environmental issues. One of the biggest problems in Thailand is the air pollution, due to the excessive amount of smog created from taxi and tuk tuk cars. Taxi drivers are constantly being exposed to this polluted air and overtime become very sick. These issues are all global issues that are constantly being enlarged due to policy changes. It is important for us to educate the public on how to conserve our environment, not only be knowledgeable about the natural world but to understand environmental law and be aware of who are policymakers. After people understand they will also change their habits. I believe currently there are plenty of loopholes in our policies and laws that are affecting other countries.

I view the global environmental crisis as the result of human society’s inability to adapt our lifestyle to favor the ecological systems of our planet. On a global scale our economic system does not have enough barriers in place to prevent activities that systematically wear down the planet’s resources. Success in combating the crisis will come in adopting environmental policies on the local scale, through community action; as well as, on the global scale through international cooperation.
Fortunately, we do live in an age where the global environmental movement is growing and has seen successful policies implemented, such as the Kyoto Protocol, and more recently the Paris Accord. Such successes signal that progress is being made. I believe that the environmental movement has a bright future As environmentalists we must be active in our local governments and support policies which favor ecological principles, in addition to making ecologically conscious decisions as individuals.

The global economic crisis has lead to the destruction of many natural disasters and massive destruction throughout the world. Global corporations have gone too far in the mass production of materials and e-waste. As China is in the lead of the fastest growing economy this in return is causing a major financial crisis around the world.Consumerism is at an all time high just for the sake of money and capitalistic reasons. The world is running out of resources and if we keep producing at the same rate we are now there won’t be any room left on the planet to sustain us. People may feel like there is nothing they can do because huge global corporations are making these decisions to produce these items but in all actuality people have more power than we thought. If we stop buying clothes or retail items and cut back on useless things this could potentially cut back on distribution and reduce our ecological footprint.

The global environmental crisis is a real issue. Every habitat on the earth has been affected by it. In my view our environmental crisis is being accelerated by mass production. As more people are leaving poverty and entering the middle class around the world the demand for consumption of goods is growing rapidly. The increase in production and innovation has resulted in more waste and pollution. In the past we produced with no regulations to protect our environment. This negligence has resulted in a break down of our atmosphere and ecosystems. Globally, this fact has been acknowledged.Many nations have come together in an attempt to mitigate some of the damage due to pollution through policies and agreements. I stand with these policies that acknowledge that pollution is a threat to our existence Furthermore, I believe if we adhere to agreements such as the Paris Accord we will be able to hold on to the little bit of Earth that we have left. I will use my vote to help bring about the change needed in the environment.

My background knowledge on environmental issues at times can be limited as this is the start of my interest in this major, however what issue that always comes to mind and the one that constantly worries me is the issues of pollution across countries such as Delhi, India. For the most part, a large majority of my family lives in this heavily polluted city and we are constantly hearing about how horrid the smog has become. My aunt recently recovered from a throat infection due to the smog. We constantly see on the news how horrible the smog is and how cars will crash into each other because the distance of sight is so limited. The unfortunate thing about all of this is that there is not much of urgency in India to combat the smog. We see many neighboring countries dealing with environmental issues head-on such as New Zealand and Switzerland, however India has very little efforts despite the problems being so grave. My role as an environmentalist would be to hopefully come up with easy solutions that people in India could do in order to make changes. I feel that in America we have a lot of resources and can come together to make changes across the world. I read an article recently where I learned that 6.1 million people have died in India since 2016 due to the pollution. Breathing should be a fundamental human right over food and water and it is devastating that that is being sacrificed.

I understand that global environment is set of biophysical transformations of land, oceans atmosphere and nature. Both natural procedures can cause human activities such as impact on natural systems over the entire planet. For example the oceans and atmosphere, climate change is real and the changes that arise from local events such as weather changes. Global environmental crisis today is not the same types of changes that occur in many parts of the world, creating cumulatively changes with global implications e.g. deforestation of mountains, massive ocean, seas, glaciers, and atmosphere, rocks etc. because of the impact it has on societies and economics. However, governments donors and police makers need to tackle this challenge and get millions of people throughout the world’s to aim to change this approach crisis. Government should monitor and evaluate the global environmental crisis projects providing us with a unique and comprehensive resource for understanding how to overcome the factors now, before it will hinder our learning, our health including our sights, and our natural ecosystem.
My role as an environmentalist is to take the right action towards saving the earth from major environmental issues. As our president Trump said, nothing like climate change. While in my countries Nigeria, people were dealing with scarcity of water, and energy. If government ignored this crisis, our sphere soil will curb human existence in the near future.

We have hit a point of no return. As far as the damage that has been done, it is irreversible no matter how many trees we plant. It is a global crisis from all the fundamental areas, water degradation, sea levels rising, prevalence of natural disasters, garbage island, etc. It is important for us to understand how human interaction has affected the natural world and what to expect in the future. I predict that we will have no fresh water, air or food in the next 50 years. I wish that I could be optimistic, but seeing the direction that the word is going, there are only some many positives that come to the environment. Until given a different perspective, I think it is our responsibility to recognize that we have to take care of what is left. I hope that this class helps me find a new way of taking care of the crisis because so far we are doing minimal work to undo our damage.

In early human civilizations, nature uttered much of what we do.
Eventually nature became a product. As our civilization has advanced, we have developed tools to restructure and rearrange the natural environment.
We now live in a time when nature is responding unwell to many of the changes we have made. Therefore we have to readapt our strategy and develop our communities to be built and functioned in a maintainable approach.
The Industrial Revolution was the start of humans having a large scales impact on the environment due to mass production and heavy polluting practices.
Cities began to depreciate due to the heavy pollution. Public demands for parks and natural spaces within cities increased as a result, and soon green spaces began to be incorporated within urban environments.

Ecologically planning out urban spaces has benefited the ecology of urban environments. Developers of parks systems have introduced tools that are very beneficial to planning out green environments.
On the other hand, developing green spaces is a tiny portion of the global environmental crisis and the issue of sustainability. As a whole we still need to do much more to battle the environment outside of developing green spaces. For example, are we creating ‘green’ spaces in the ocean? We tend to want to take care of cities more because we live here, but our actions affect the entire planet, and we should be more responsible for this.
We human beings are in position to have far greater impact on other life which we share the planet. Therefore we have the privilege and responsibility to reflect on other living beings. Once we participate in any social action, including economy. Frequently, our relationships with our planet brings environment comprises for all the living and non-living things around us. Embraces clouds, oceans, plants, farms, and forests. Because of ecological system, our planets purify air and water, cycle nutrient, regulate climate, pollinate pants, and recycle our waste. Ecologic describes a human centered view of our relations with the environment.
Human life is known as a dependent on nature because of a geographical place on earth. We have plenty of natural resources available for our day-to-day requirements. We eat vegetables rice, potato, lentils, and tomatoes grown on the farms. Once the soil becomes contaminated due to extreme fertilization, this may cause big industries to landfill their product by products, wastes or toxins in the ground. While these toxins slowly contaminate the land and water. When this happened it would affect land and water. The water can become unsuitable for safe drinking. While the land become infertile to human life, which depend on nature because it gives us the inappropriate environment for living. While we are racing life. Some people were never skilled about how our existence changes on it, because we have been tolerated out of the biological fundamentals. Life dependent on nature which human survive from fresh oxygen, fresh drinking water, rich air to breathe, healthy environment to leave.

My understanding of the global environmental crisis is that its an ecological crisis which occurs that destabilizes a population. Today we face numerous problems (depletion of natural resources, widespread poverty, climate change, air pollution) which will all be ongoing problems associated with population growth and industrialization. The key is that all of these issues affect civilization as a whole in negative ways. I don’t think saving the environment is something that will happen rapidly overnight. It will have to be a joint effort of all countries and governments in order to overcome a common challenge we all face. The environmental crisis is already in play and I do not believe can be reversed but with greater regulations and controls it may be slowed down. Our natural resources are limited but many fail to recognize this. Some of the trends we are witnessing which need to be made a priority are: reduction of our over all consumption of resources, reutilization of resources and materials, green transportation, and giving back to the environment.
As an environmentalist my role is to work with companies such as saildrone who are utilizing tech for a wide range of ocean data collection. They utilize an alternative to ships and fixed buoy arrays for enhanced climate data. I believe in working with pioneers who are creating scalable, viable companies with the goal of combating environmental crisis.

The Global Environmental Crisis is the decline and volatility of our ecosystem due to the history of human kinds development to where we are today economically and socially. The global environmental crisis is important to me, simply because in my lifetime I have seen evidence whether it be on a global level seeing that our polar ice caps are melting changing geopolitics. Even on a more local level, my hometown of Orange County is now covered in the same orange smog that used to only cover Los Angeles and being able to feel the effects of poor air quality.
I see the world at a fork in the road. As the rest of the world goes through their industrial revolution how do we make it less detrimental to the environment compared to past Industrialization? As an environmentalist, I can play the small role by recycling, driving a zero emissions vehicle, and controlling water consumption while simultaneously sharing this with my peers. On a larger scale, trying to figure out a way to introduce innovation that has the environment as a priority while making it essential for multi-national corporations to adopt such innovation.

I don’t know much about GEC, only that it is due to all the damage human beings have done to the earth over the course of history as we have developed and industrialized. We have changed geographical landscapes eradicated entire species and polluted areas of the world to the point that they are almost unliveable. I see the world heading to a dramatic climate change and major shifts in environmental and geographical structures. Although many advances have been made to improve this issues facing climate change we have not done enough, and in some cases we have gone backwards. As an environmentalist it’s important to be conscious of what I do in my daily life and how this affects the earth. Whether that be walking instead of getting a car, or recycling , or even buy products that were made without harming the environment. It is also important to work with and or support organizations that work to find ways to reverse the effects of climate change.

The global environmental crisis includes an extremely wide array of issues. Climate change, pollution, soil erosion, and the use of non-renewable energy sources all cause lasting environmental impacts, and are directly related to human activity. As human population increases, people are beginning to realize the interconnectivity of all these issues and attempting to banish current systems that encourage overconsumption. Most infrastructure, in fact, lends itself to a destructive and non-sustainable lifestyle.
I believe that as an environmentalist, my goal should be to educate others on the current environmental situation, and the tenuity of most current lifestyles. I think responsibility falls on citizens to understand the big picture of the environment, and to force government organizations to provide environmentally-friendly options for transportation, food, and housing. In the long run, however, if infrastructure is not improved and real action is not taken to diminish environmental impacts, I believe humanity will end up evacuating the earth and colonizing Mars. Resources need to be devoted to healing this planet, certainly, but we can’t ignore the possibility of becoming an interplanetary species or the positive environmental impacts that the development of a Mars colony could have.

My understanding of global environmental crisis is that it is synonymous with having an ecological crisis. By that logic, it is to say that we are having a true crisis of civilization. A lot of what is considered progress is in fact environmental vandalism. As we increase the size if our population, we are at higher risk of depleting the earth of its natural resources and disrupting biodiversity as well. It seems to be an ongoing struggle between making an effort to preserve the earth against those who think and act irresponsibly to directly or indirectly support capitalistic goals. For example, oil drilling and water pollution are two major activities that affect everyone and come at a great cost to the environment. I believe a fundamental redesign in our attitudes toward the environment is what is required to help solve this problem. Recognition of environmentally sustainable practices pertaining to equity, economy and ecology will help us see the environment as something of true value that is worth fighting for.
